Archive for September, 2010

The blog is slowly beginning, at this stage a much needed online home for the Bi-monthly updates. However, it will be fantastic if you, our wide global community, were contributers too!

If you have photos or stories of recent and past (deep dark past) of Origins and its happenings that you would like to share and see here, email them to Dolma at coorain@sctelco.net.au. (600Kbs or less please) and she will add them to the blog.

Get out the old photo albums, dig deep in the memory banks and share with us……!

Fire Maintenance – We are on track.  It takes appox. $3-4,000/year in labour and machine costs to maintain fire readiness across our property.  It is serious and quite arduous but we have good labour and supervision, and advice from the fire department.  If anyone wants to support this work financially that would be great, the costs have grown as the grasses have invaded.  Anne will be canvassing for support in the near future.

Water – The dams and tanks in the sth west are really feeling the shortage of rain this winter.  Please continue to be water conscious as the centre runs on tanks.

Family Practice – Anne continues this important teaching, which supports the integration of mindfulness and family life. Wednesday’s at 11:15am in the rotunda – bring the babes and little ones.

Donations –  so much thanks and appreciation to all who support the centre in this way.  Every little bit makes a huge difference:   If you would like to support OC financially, the Origins Centre bank details are as follows:
